Olmsted Outlook Seawall Restoration To Begin Soon: Guilford Land Conservation Trust
The park will be closed during the months-long process, the Guilford Land Conservation Trust said in a social media post Thursday.

GUILFORD, CT — Construction to repair the seawall at the Guilford Land Conservation Trust's Olmsted Outlook is set to begin in the coming weeks, according to an update from the GLCT.
The park will be closed during the months-long process, GLCT said in a social media post Thursday.
"With more than 100 years of twice-daily tides combined with increasingly heavy storms and flooding induced by climate change, the fieldstone wall has begun to fail," the GLCT said. "The public is asked to remain on the opposite side of River Street away from the project at all times, even when workers are not present, to ensure public safety and the integrity of the fragile construction. The parking area will also be closed during this time."
