GUILFORD, CT — A police cruiser was damaged after a tree fell on top of it early Monday morning, according to the Guilford Police Department.

According to the Eversource outage map, there are 1,995 customers without power in Guilford as of 9 a.m.

The forecast calls for rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 4 p.m., then a slight chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. A coastal flood warning and a high wind advisory are in effect.
