GUILFORD, CT — The popular Guilford Repair Cafe will return on Nov. 14, giving residents a chance to breathe new life into their beloved broken items.

Hosted by the Sustainable Guilford Task Force, the town said the "lively community gathering" allows participants to experience how sustainable practices give items a second life.

"By fixing items instead of throwing them away, Repair Cafe Guilford works to reduce waste, cut CO2 emissions from manufacturing and recycling, and helps Guilford build a more sustainable future," Task Force Chair Terri Cain said in an announcement.
While some complicated repairs may not be possible, repairers can offer advice to residents on their items, according to event organizer and Sustainable Guilford Task Force member Amy Kaneko.
