Popular Guilford Restaurant Sold, Changes To Come

Owners say the restaurant will remain in same location and be taken over by new owners.

GUILFORD, CT - Carson’s on Whitfield, after being in operation for a year, has been sold to new owners, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The post reads: “After a wonderful year in Guilford, Carson’s has decided to accept an incredible offer and have sold our restaurant to a talented team of restaurateurs.

“The restaurant will remain open, but please stay tuned as the new owners bring you an exciting new concept. We wish Amarone’s all the best & know that you’ll give them the same warm welcome that you’ve given to us. We look forward to seeing all of you when you visit us at GW Carson’s in Branford.

The owners of Carson’s are Jim Kirtopoulos and Ginway Lin.

They said they opened the restaurant last year based on what they saw was a need after the closing of two very poplar eatery’s, the Stonehouse and Whitfields.

The restaurant location formerly was the home of Colors Cafe.
