Quinnipiac Professor From Guilford "Noteworthy Educator"

Ben Bogardus, assistant professor of journalism at Quinnipiac University, has been named a "Noteworthy journalism educator".

GUILFORD, CT - Ben Bogardus of Guilford, assistant professor of journalism at Quinnipiac University, has been named a “Noteworthy Journalism Educator” by Crain’s NewsPro magazine.

This year’s 10 honorees, which include professors, a lecturer and an associate dean from universities around the nation, were nominated by NewsPro readers and members of the Radio Television Digital News Association and the Broadcast Education Association.

“It’s a great honor to be included on Crain’s NewsPro’s list of Noteworthy Journalism Educators,” Bogardus said. “It reinforces my belief that the best way to teach journalism is to give students real-world reporting and producing experiences in the classroom. By pushing them to produce work of professional quality in class, they’re ready for great jobs right after graduation.”
