Road Closures Announced For Guilford Fair Parade

It’s Guilford Fair Time!!!

There will be lots of traffic and pedestrian traffic around the Town Green and around the Guilford Fairgrounds over the next 3 days... but all for an awesome event and to support the Guilford Agricultural Society

So every year, the Saturday of Guilford Fair Weekend, there is an amazing parade!!! (With some road closures)

The following roads will be closed before and during the parade:
Water St/River St will be closed at 9am
Whitfield St/Water St will be closed at 9:15am
Whitfield/Summer/Stonehouse closed at 9am
Park/Broad closed at 9:45am
Park/Boston closed at 9:45am
Union/Broad closed at 9:45am
Whitfield/Broad closed at 9:45am
Church/Broad closed at 9:45am

So let’s break this down... if you need to get up or down Whitfield St... you will have to do it BEFORE 8:30am.... or you will have to wait for the parade to clear... probably around 11am.

So please keep this in mind for event planning on Saturday morning. If you have to be at work at 10am down near the docks, want to catch a train at 9:30, have a play date at Jacob’s Beach at 10am... plan to go around 8:30am...

So if you live down Whitfield St and need to get to work, the store, kids party, dog park... leave by 8:30... otherwise you will have to wait until 11am.

Hope this helps avoid any transportation crisis Saturday morning.
