GUILFORD, CT — In a tweet, state Rep. Sean Scanlon said he's ready to get to work in his new role as executive director of Tweed Airport.

"Excited to begin a new chapter next month," being the public face of the New Haven airport. His role, it was first reported by Branford Seven, will largely be working to promote Tweed, and "bring in new services."

"New Haven has so much to offer and the airport has a huge role to play re: growing southern CT's economy," Scanlon tweeted.
