Sen. Murphy To Hold 'Town Hall' Meeting Sunday

US Sen. Chris Murphy will hold a 'town hall' meeting at Nathanael B. Greene Community Center Sunday at 4 p.m.

GUILFORD, CT — US Sen. Chris Murphy will be in Guilford Sunday at 4 p.m. where he'll hold a "Community Town Hall" at Nathanael B. Greene Community Center, 32 Church St.

Murphy says he'll be providing an "update on his work in Congress and take questions from those in attendance."

Members of the public are invited to attend and are encouraged to arrive early.

In the morning Sunday, Murphy, a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will hold a briefing with Connecticut’s Lebanese community to provide an update on his recent trip to Lebanon. Last month, Murphy traveled to Lebanon to see firsthand the efficacy of U.S. military aid.

Next stop is New Haven where he'll be at Dixwell Fire Station, 125 Goffe St., to drop off toys at the 5th annual All Hands Toy Drive hosted by the New Haven Fire Department Local 825, the United States Marines Corps, Yale Police Department, New Haven Medical Response, the Shubert Theater and Atlas Chiropractic. The donations will be distributed to children of the New Haven Probate Court Kinship program during the holidays.
