Woman, 82, Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash On Route 80 In Guilford: Police
Another person was also seriously injured in the crash, police said.
GUILFORD, CT — An 82-year-old woman was killed in a two vehicle crash on Saturday, police said.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Rt. 80 for a two car motor vehicle accident involving injuries, police said.
The Guilford Fire Department personnel provided medical attention to those injured. Two occupants of a vehicle were transported by ambulance with serious injuries, one of those individuals was reported to have life-threatening injuries, police said.

"Unfortunately, that individual succumbed to those injuries at the hospital," police said in a news release. "The deceased is an eighty-two year old female whose name will be withheld until which time the family has had an opportunity to make appropriate notifications. Our condolences are extended to the family of the decedent in this difficult time."
The crash is under investigation. Rt. 80 between Long Hill Road and the North Branford line was subsequently closed for a period of time on Saturday afternoon.
