Strong Winds Lead to 1,100 Power Outages in Guilford

BREAKING: A total of 4,000 CT residents are without power Thursday morning.

GUILFORD, CT — There are more than 4,000 households in Connecticut without power Thursday morning and 1,100 of them happen to live in Guilford, according to Eversource's Power Outage Map details.

New Fairfield has nearly 600 outages and Old Saybrook around 400. Numerous other communities are around 100 outages as well.

Strong gusty winds at one point knocked out power to 15,000 residents last night and this morning. Service has been returning quickly. A High Wind Warning is in effect for most of Thursday.
