The company said the expansion will provide access to symmetrical multigigabit internet speeds and further expand fiber internet infrastructure in Connecticut.

Guilford and Madison are set to join more than 40 Connecticut communities already served by GoNetspeed, including Ansonia, Bridgeport, Danbury, East Haven, Hartford and New Haven.

The planned expansion follows a recent $4.2 million network expansion in Derby and Shelton, according to the company.

GoNetspeed, which operates in 11 states, said its fiber-optic network offers symmetrical upload and download speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to 6 Gbps.
