Town Of Guilford: Notice Of Westwoods Trails Closures

The following trail segments are closed:

NEW: Orange Circle and Orange Square closed between the intersection of the Orange Circle / Red Triangle and Blue Rectangle.

Red Triangle: closed from Moose Hill Road to south of the power lines east of White Circle.

Violet Circle: closed between Green Rectangle and Blue Rectangle.

Yellow Square: closed between Green Rectangle and Blue Rectangle.

Yellow Circle: closed between Green Rectangle and Blue Rectangle.

White Circle: closed between Yellow/White cross trail at the Monuments to the three way junction of While Circle/White Square 1/White Square 2 just south of the power lines.

Blue Rectangle: closed from the Blue Rectangle/Yellow Square intersection south of the Canopy to White Circle.

Over the winter and early spring, Eversource will be removing the electric lines and poles from Westwoods. Using access from Moose Hill Road and Dunk Rock Road, this work will involve heavy equipment and large work crews.

We ask our many hikers and bikers to stay clear of the workers and their equipment and to plan their activities on alternate trails. Trails marked with a ‘TRAIL CLOSED’ sign indicates on-going work and should be avoided, but trail users need to be vigilant for activity regardless of trail postings.

PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM ANY MOVING EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS.
