Tree Removal To Cause Road Closure In Guilford Tuesday: What To Know

The work is part of an approved landscape and safety improvement project.

GUILFORD, CT — Several trees are slated to be removed at Guilford Town Hall South on Tuesday, June 17, and a road closure will be put in place for most of the day to facilitate the work.

According to an announcement from the town, four sweetgum trees in front of Town Hall South at 50 Boston St. will be removed as part of an approved landscape and safety improvement project.

As a result, Park Street will be closed to traffic Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for access to the Guilford Library from the north side.

A phase 2 planting plan to be completed at a later date includes updating the plantings adjacent to Town Hall, according to the town.
