The New Haven Symphony Orchestra Family Concert Series provides a lively introduction to the orchestra through interactive concerts designed just for children. NHSO ensembles celebrate centuries of fairy tales through music and finish “happily ever after” with a beautiful lullaby that you can sing again at home. Be sure to wear your favorite PJs and slippers and bring your beloved stuffed animal to this musical pajama party in your neighborhood!

Come learn about the brass family at our first Family Concert. The concert opens with the invigorating dance rhythms from Astor Piazzolla’s native Argentina in Libertango. Local story teller Tom Lee narrates the fun tale of Tubby the Tuba, shining the spotlight on NHSO’s own tubist, Adam Crowe. The concert is rounded out by two traditional pieces from different countries – Three Georgian Folk Songs and the Austrian lullaby Still, Still, Still.
