Wellness Fair Upcoming In Guilford: Details

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford D.A.Y. and the APT Foundation will hold a free wellness fair Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Guilford Town Green.

The event will offer prevention, recovery and harm reduction resources, along with Yoga with Emily, therapy dogs, a sensory station with journaling and crafts, and a free library with books on healthy living.

APT Foundation CEO Lynn Madden is also scheduled to speak. All ages are welcome.

APT was founded in 1970 by the Yale School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry members and is among the oldest treatment programs in the U.S., the organization's website says.

The organization was one of the first in the country to use medication for the treatment of opioid use disorder.
