YOM KIPPUR SERVICES OPEN TO ALL AT CAMP LAURELWOOD

habad of the Shoreline is celebrating Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Friday evening, October 3 through Saturday night, October 4. at Camp Laurelwood in Madison. All are welcome and there are no tickets or membership dues, however RSVP is needed.
Rabbi Yossi Yaffe adds stories and explanations to help make the traditional services more personally relevant. Cantor Meir Wilschanski leads the congregation with soulful melodies and lively singing. Rochel Baila Yaffe coordinates a children’s program on both days. At the conclusion of the fast a light “break the fast” meal with bagels from Brooklyn and cream cheese and lox will be served.
“Yom Kippur is a time when we connect to our core identity, when our soul rules our body and we commune with G-d and experience His love and forgiveness”, notes Rabbi Yaffe “and the beautiful natural surroundings are conducive to meaningful, joyous prayer.”

Camp Laurelwood has undergone a complete renovation of its main hall. Newly-installed heating and air-conditioning ensure a comfortable experience, no matter the weather.
Chabad opens its doors to Jewish people of any background or affiliation. “We want you to feel at home,” says Rabbi Yaffe. “Feel free to attend any or all of the services!”
