Youth & Family Director Honored With Employee Recognition Award

Lyne Landry, director since 2007, was honored for "her tireless commitment and dedication to the youth and families of Guilford."

GUILFORD, CT —Guilford Youth and Family Services director Lyne Landry has been named the recipient of the Guilford Employee Recognition Award for June 2021, First Selectman Matt Hoey has announced.

The Employee Recognition Awards Committee selected Landry, who was jointly nominated by Youth Prevention Specialist Mike Kosko, Program Director Karol Regan, and Clinical Director Cathie Zampano.

Kosko, Regan, and Zampano nominated Landry for "her tireless commitment and dedication to the youth and families of Guilford."

“She has always been in support of new and creative program ideas, as well as helpful in seeking out and guiding grant writing to secure funding to cover expenses," Kosko said. "I have always felt supported as an employee, and furthermore am grateful for her mentorship in expanding my supervisory skills by setting an exceptional example. I attribute much of my success and positive impact on the youth in Guilford to the leadership role Lyne has taken as director.”

Hoey, who initiated this program, has encouraged all employees to nominate other employees who should be recognized for outstanding achievement and performance in their work.

“Lyne always seeks to provide the community with top of the line clinical care and prevention programs," Regan said. "She continuously looks to expand the services Guilford Youth and Family Services offers to ensure that the mental health needs of our youth are met. Lyne’s positive personality and collaboration skills can be seen by all people with whom she works.”

Landry has been the Director of Guilford Youth and Family Services since 2007. She received an Employee Recognition Award certificate as well as a gift card from First Selectman Hoey in recognition of her achievements.

“Lyne has been our fearless leader for the past of 10 years," Zampano said. "She encourages her staff to unleash their creativity in developing our individual programs and components of the agency which has resulted in an environment that is a pleasure to work within. She has maintained a climate of safety, respect, and compassion. The energy and enthusiasm she brings to the agency has enabled GYFS to flourish.”
