1 Critically Injured In Shooting In Hamden: Police

HAMDEN, CT — A man was critically injured in a shooting Monday night in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to the area of Butler Street and Goodrich Street around 10:20 p.m. on the report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.

Vey said Officer Jack Hilton found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck and cheek. The victim was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical, but stable condition, on Tuesday morning, according to Vey.

The Hamden Police Department Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation, Vey said.
