100 Students Stage Walkout, Protest At Eli Whitney In Hamden

The students staged a walkout and protest at the school on Monday morning, according to a report.

HAMDEN, CT — Around 100 students at Eli Whitney Technical High School in Hamden staged a walkout and protest on Monday morning, according to WTNH News 8.

WTNH reported the students were protesting what they called a pattern of sexual harassment within the school and said one student, a senior boy, is responsible. The students told WTNH that the harassment has gone on for several years and claimed the school’s administrators didn’t help stop it.

Eli Whitney’s principal plans to meet with students and families on Tuesday night, according to WTNH.
