2 Arrested In Drug Bust: Hamden Police

Police say the arrests are the result of a lengthy investigation into drug sales in the area.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police charged two people with selling drugs in town following a lengthy investigation. On Aug. 18, the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team and Special Response Team arrested the two suspects in the area of Goodrich Street, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said the arrests were the result of a lengthy investigation into drug sales on Goodrich Street and the surrounding area.

Lashaun Lawrence, 51, of Goodrich Street, was charged with sale of narcotics. Lawrence, who was detained on a court-ordered $25,000 bond, was scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 1.

Armando Johnson, 27, of Blatchley Avenue in New Haven, was charged with sale of narcotics. Johnson, who was detained on a court-ordered $10,000 bond, was also scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 1.
