2 Found Dead In Hamden Home: Police

Police say two elderly residents were found dead inside a home on Tuesday afternoon.

HAMDEN, CT — Two elderly residents were found dead inside a home on Blue Hills Avenue in Hamden on Tuesday afternoon, according to police. The bodies were discovered as police were conducting a “welfare check” at about 2:20 p.m. on March 27, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said police received information that an elderly couple living at the home “hadn’t been seen in weeks.”

Hamden Police, with the assistance of the Hamden Fire Department, forced entry into the home and subsequently discovered the deceased bodies of two elderly people, according to Smith.

Police are continuing to investigate and the bodies were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington for autopsies. Smith said identifications of the deceased are pending.
