3 Charged With Stealing Elderly Man’s Wallet: Hamden Police

The arrests were made following an extensive investigation, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — Police have arrested three people in connection to the theft of a 71-year-old man’s wallet last month. A Federal Street resident reported to police on Oct. 2 that his wallet was stolen while he was shopping at a local supermarket, according to police. The wallet contained several credit cards.

The stolen credit cards were used to purchase $678.31 worth of various items at numerous businesses in Hamden and New Haven, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said Officer Justin Thibault conducted an extensive investigation, which led to the application of arrest warrants for Christopher McDaniel, Crystal Frazier and Jennifer Frazier.

McDaniel, Crystal and Jennifer Frazier were all taken into custody in West Haven on Nov. 21. McDaniel was transported to the Hartford Correctional Center while Crystal and Jennifer Frazier were transported to Hamden Police Headquarters, according to Smith.

Crystal Frazier, 40, of Front Avenue in West Haven, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was detained on a court-ordered $25,000 bond and arraigned on Nov. 21.

Jennifer Frazier, 41, of Front Avenue in West Haven, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was detained on a court-ordered $25,000 bond and was arraigned on Nov. 21.

A Habeas Warrant will be completed for McDaniel, according to Smith.
