3 Hospitalized After Shooting In Hamden: Police

Police are investigating after a shooting sent three people to the hospital late Friday night.

HAMDEN, CT — Three people were hospitalized after a shooting late Friday night in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to Goodrich Street between Butler Street and Shelton Avenue around 11:25 p.m. on the report of gunshots fired, according to Acting Hamden Police Chief Timothy F. Wydra.

Wydra said arriving officers found numerous spent cartridge cases near Goodrich Street just east of Shelton Ave. While at the scene, police learned that two gunshot victims had arrived at Saint Raphael’s Hospital shortly after the shots fired complaint, according to Wydra.

A third victim who was also shot on Goodrich Street was found nearby and taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment, according to Wydra.

In an update Monday afternoon, Sgt. Angela Vey said two victims were listed in stable condition, and one victim was treated and released from the hospital.
