3 Stabbed, 1 Critically Injured, In Neighbor Dispute: Hamden Police
Police said a neighbor dispute escalated to a fight where three women were stabbed, and one woman was critically injured in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — One woman was critically injured, and two others suffered injuries, after a stabbing that stemmed from an ongoing dispute between neighbors, according to police.
Police responded around 4:20 p.m. on Jan. 16 to 300 Pine Rock Avenue in Hamden on the report of a stabbing, according to Lt. Robert Manfield.
Manfield said three women had sustained stab wounds during the incident and were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. One victim remained in critical condition, as of Saturday morning, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Manfield.

“Preliminary investigation indicates the incident stemmed from an ongoing neighbor dispute that escalated into a violent altercation outside the main entrance of the building,” Manfield wrote in a news release. “All involved parties have been identified, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
Manfield said a search warrant was obtained for an associated apartment, and evidence was secured. Detectives continue to investigate, and the Hamden Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit processed the scene, according to Manfield.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” Manfield wrote. “Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
