AAA to Close Call Center in Hamden: Report
The call center is being consolidated with branches in other states.

HAMDEN, CT — AAA will close its call center in Hamden, located on Worth Avenue, but officials say the Whitney Avenue AAA branch will remain open, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports that about 40 to 50 people work at the call center but officials are unsure of how many will be laid off because many will be offered jobs within the organization.
The Hamden site is being consolidated with other call centers and calls that come in from Connecticut residents in need of help will be routed through to centers in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Jersey, according to the Register.
