Acclaimed jazz singer Tatiana Eva-Marie to perform concert at Quinnipiac University on Oct. 19

HAMDEN – Acclaimed jazz singer Tatiana Eva-Marie and her band, Avalon, will open the Frank H. Natale Concert Series this year with a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Clarice L. Buckman Theater at Quinnipiac University, 275 Mount Carmel Ave.
Nicknamed "the Gypsy-jazz Warbler" by the New York Times and acclaimed as a "millennial shaking up the jazz scene" by Vanity Fair, Eva-Marie will explore the music of composer Django Reinhardt through her own original arrangements and lyrics in her latest project, "Djangology," a tribute inspired by her French and Romanian Gypsy heritage and her love for the Parisian art scene of the 1920s to the 1960s.
Tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for students and seniors, and free for children under 12. Purchase tickets at https://avalon.brownpapertickets.com.
