ACES Appoints Claudette J. Beamon as Assistant Executive Director for Personnel & Special Services

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the appointment of Claudette J. Beamon as Assistant Executive Director for Personnel & Special Services, effective September 12, 2013. Ms. Beamon has served as the ACES Director of Human Resources since joining ACES in 2002. In her new capacity, she will have oversight of ACES Human Resources, Extension Therapy Services, Behavior Services and Professional Development & School Improvement. Ms. Beamon began her career working for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and later worked for the Connecticut Judicial System as a family relations counselor, mediating custody and visitation conflicts and property settlements. Ms. Beamon has also worked as a trained facilitator for the Anti-Defamation League and as a consultant for the Consultation Center in New Haven, assisting with their family violence program. She is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where she obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and her 6th year degree in Educational Leadership. Prior to joining ACES, Ms. Beamon was employed by the North Haven Public Schools as a supervisor of social workers and school psychologists.
