American Dance Experience dancers help create awareness for Breast Cancer

Oct. 22nd was National Pink Tutu day, which was created in order to raise awareness and donations for The Tutu Project.

It wasn’t the first time an American Dance Experience dancer put on a pink tutu, but Oct. 22nd was a very special time for the dancers to wear their pink tutus. Oct. 22nd was National Pink Tutu day, which was created in order to raise awareness and donations for The Tutu Project. The Tutu Project was started in 2003 by Bob Carey to help make his wife Linda laugh, and to show her support while she battled Breast Cancer (www.thetutuproject.com). Bob began taking pictures of himself in all sorts of places wearing the tutu. It has since grown and has become nationally known. The Carey’s started the Carey Foundation which helps to raise funds for women and their families that need financial support while battling Breast Cancer.

ADE was very proud of their students and parents who showed incredible support for October 22nd and the Tutu Project.
