Hamden Red Light, Speed Cameras Approved By State DOT: Report

The Connecticut Department of Transportation recently approved red light and speed cameras at several locations in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation recently approved automated enforcement traffic cameras at six locations in Hamden, including three speed cameras and three red light cameras, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports red light cameras were approved along Dixwell Avenue at the intersections of Arch Street and Whitney Avenue and the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Putnam Avenue.

The approved speed cameras were for Whitney Avenue near Hamden Hall Country Day School, Circular Avenue near Booker T. Washington Academy Middle School and the 200 block of Woodin Street, according to the Register.
