HAMDEN, CT – Kicking off the summer season with fun for the whole family, the 7th Annual Hamden Fest will take place on Saturday, June 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at Hamden’s Town Center Park.
“Presented by the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Hamden, the event celebrates all things local with a full day of entertainment, activities, and community engagement,” organizers wrote in a news release. “There is something for everyone!
“Thousands attended last year’s event, and this year promises to be even bigger.”

The day will feature the Hamden Fest Half Marathon and 5K Road Race; the 21st Annual Business Expo presented by the Sponsors of Energize ConnecticutSM, Avangrid Networks, Inc. subsidiaries United Illuminating and Southern Connecticut Gas; an expansive Arts, Crafts & Civic Fair; Hamden Library Events, the Kids & Sports Zone; and a wide range of community service and nonprofit booths.
Returning once again as Festival Hosts are Brian Smith, Pam Landry, and the Z-Man from WOW Radio CT. Attendees will enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the day, including a featured performance by Old School 203 at 2 p.m. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food trucks and local food and beverage vendors.
“This event truly showcases the heart of Hamden,” Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce President Nancy Dudchik said. “It’s a great day to celebrate our businesses, artists, and everything that makes our community vibrant and unique.”
The Hamden Fest Half Marathon & 5K Road Race takes place entirely along the scenic Farmington Canal Trail adjacent to Hamden Town Center Park. Both the Half Marathon and the 5K race offer runners and walkers a safe and beautiful route along the paved trail. New this year is the Half Marathon Relay giving runners the opportunity to split the race with a partner. The Half Marathon begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K race at 9:30 a.m. For more information and to register, visit www.teammossman.com.
