Robert C. Crotty, 57, died peacefully in his sleep Aug. 12, 2011.
Crotty was an accomplished musician, legendary guitarist, blues scholar and story teller.
He was the beloved brother of Edward C. Crotty, Jr. of Westbrook, Kevin M. Crotty of Washington, Michael S. Crotty of Middletown and Timothy P. Crotty of Granby.

He was the beloved dear friend and companion of Lynn Malavolti of Hamden and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Robert was born in New Haven, May 7, 1954, son of the late Edward C. and Elizabeth Kerrigan Crotty.
