Award-Winning Puppetry Troupe to Perform ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ in Hamden

The nationally touring troupe will present their version of the classic tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" on Saturday.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Arts Commission will bring back the multi-award-winning puppetry troupe, Crabgrass Theatre, to the Hamden stage on Feb. 4 as part of its Saturday Afternoon Family Entertainment Series.

The nationally touring troupe will present their version of the classic tale, “Jack and the Beanstalk.”

This innovative and exciting production is a feast of visuals and sound with a stunning, two-tiered stage, big and beautiful puppets, a rhyme-spouting giant, a marvelous growing beanstalk and a delightful musical score.

The event begins at 1 p.m. and will be held in the handicapped-accessible Thornton Wilder Hall, Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.
