The owners are asking for help with getting the statue, which was stolen off the counter, returned to the popular ice cream shop.
HAMDEN, CT — The owners of Wentworth Homemade Ice Cream in Hamden are asking for help with getting a beloved sculpture that was stolen off the counter returned to them.
Wentworth’s posted a surveillance image on its Facebook page of a man they say stole the custom-made “cone mouth” sculpture off the counter earlier this week.
“This is the man who stole our statue,” Wentworth’s wrote on the Facebook page. “He reached right over the counter, grabbed it, and ran out. If anyone recognizes this man, please let us know. We really want our statue back.”
