Brooksvale Park Fall Festival Canceled In Hamden

The annual fall festival has been canceled due to the inclement weather in the forecast, according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — The Brooksvale Park Fall Festival has been canceled due to the inclement weather in the forecast, officials announced Friday.

The annual festival had been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23 with a rain date of Sept. 24.

A "tropical system" is expected to bring heavy rain to Connecticut through this weekend, according to forecasts.

Officials said that due to upcoming fairs and festivals, the Brooksvale Park Fall Festival will “not be rescheduled at this time.”

“We are saddened that this fun-filled event has been canceled but we thank you for your support,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “We hope to see you at our other events including Friday Movie Nights Sept. 22 and Sept. 29, the Italian-American Heritage Festival Sat. Oct. 7, and the Saturday Family Entertainment Series which begins Oct. 7.”
