Brunch Vibes Only: Eli’s Restaurant Group Debuts Hamden Eatery Sunday Brunch Service
Eli's brunch has breakfast classics with cheeky twists, like Positive Aura acai bowl, and cleverly named cocktails, like Champagne Problems.

HAMDEN, CT — Yes to brunch. Because breakfast is too early and lunch is too late.
This past weekend, Eli's Restaurant Group, a staple in Connecticut's dining scene for over two decades, debuted Sunday brunch service at sister restaurants in Branford and Hamden.
Both locations, Eli’s on Whitney and Eli’s Branford, are dishing out breakfast classics with cheeky twists and a collection of brunch-infused cocktails.

Highlights from the new brunch menu include Positive Aura, an acai bowl with fresh fruit, coconut and house-made granola topped with local honey; Eggstravaganza, a kale-and-caramelized onion frittata with asiago, gruyere and
mixed greens; The Hangover… Part IV, twin smashburgers with cheddar, American, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, and pickled red onion on brioche; Challah Back with challah French toast, fresh berries, whipped cream, and Vermont maple syrup; The Brekkie Smash with smashed avocado, sunny egg, everything seasoning, pickled red onion, and mixed greens on seeded grain toast; and Cheesy Does It, prosciutto with a four-cheese blend, arugula, and marinated tomato on grilled sourdough.
To sip, Eli’s features an array of beers on tap, including celebrated labels from its sister brand, Elicit Brewing Company, as well as two brunch beverage lineups.

In Rise & Grind, there are four coffee-laced creations, like the Sip Me Baby One More Time, a salted honey-cold foam iced latte, and the Bean There, Done That, is a shaken espresso with brown sugar.
In Bloodys and Bubbles, there are five cocktails, like the Mary with Benefits, a Grey Goose Bloody Mary with a salt rim, celery, olive, tomato, and fontina; Mary Had a Little Buzz, a Maker’s Mark Bloody Derby with an asparagus spear, chili-bacon twirl, and lemon wheel; and Champagne Problems, a mimosa infused with orange, pineapple, or grapefruit juice.
Eli’s on Whitney is located at 2392 Whitney Ave. in Hamden.
Eli's Branford is located at 624 W. Main St., Branford.
Brunch is available Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
