Bullet Enters Home, Strikes TV In Living Room: Hamden Police
A bullet from a nearby shooting entered a home and became lodged into a wall near where children were playing, according to a report.
HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating after a bullet from a nearby shooting entered a home on Shelton Avenue on Thursday night in Hamden, according to officials.
Police responded to the 400 block of Shelton Avenue around 8 p.m. on the report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.
A female victim told police that she was involved in a fight with another woman, according to Vey. Shortly after the initial fight, Vey said an unknown man arrived in the area and fired several shots toward the victim.

Vey said one of the projectiles penetrated a parked, unoccupied vehicle. One projectile penetrated the exterior of a home and entered the living room of the home, according to Vey.
“The projectile penetrated a TV and lodged into an interior living room wall,” Vey wrote in a news release. “One resident of the home was in the living room when the incident occurred, but was not injured.”

A woman told NBC Connecticut that she was sitting on the couch watching TV when the bullet went through it, and was lodged on the wall to her son’s bedroom where her two children were playing.
Detectives from the Hamden Police Department Major Crimes Unit along with the Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene, according to Vey.
Vey said no one was injured during the incident.
