Bullets Strike SUV With Child, 2, Inside: Hamden Police
A bullet entered the passenger side of the vehicle and no injuries were reported, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — An SUV with a 2-year-old child inside was struck by gunfire Thursday night in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Shelton Avenue near Morse Street around 10:30 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls of shots fired, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said an investigation found that the SUV was struck by gunfire while travelling on Morse Street. A couple and their 2-year-old child were inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting, according to Dolan.

Ballistic evidence was recovered from inside the victim’s vehicle and at the crime scene, Dolan said.
The two adults and child were not struck by the bullet that entered the passenger compartment of the vehicle, according to Dolan. No injuries were reported.
