Burglars Smash Way Into Krauszer’s, Steal Cash Register: Hamden Police

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are investigating a burglary at Krauszer’s on State Street in which the suspects smashed their way in with a brick and stole a cash register.

Police responded to the store, located at 1959 State Street, at about 12:30 a.m. this morning on the report of a burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that two individuals, who were wearing dark clothing, forcibly entered the store by “smashing” the front entry door with a brick. They subsequently stole a cash register and two drawers, which contained an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects fled from the area in a pickup truck, according to Smith.
