On Sunday September 28, 2025, the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter will be sponsoring the 31st annual Greater New Haven Walk To End Alzheimer's. This event will again be held at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven. There are 80,000 diagnosed persons in the State of Connecticut, and over 100,000 caregivers providing free care. You can register on line using the file attachment below. Form a team or walk alone, but be a support for the diagnosed and the caregivers.

FAITH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 81 CLINTONVILLE RD., NORTH HAVEN WILL HOLD ITS ANNUAL SRING FAIR ON SATURDAY, May 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Rain or Shine. This popular event will feature a Silent Auction offering more than 75 gift certificates and products from a wide variety of local businesses, a plant sale showcasing an assortment of annuals in hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs and flowers, beautiful handcrafted items created by members of our church Craft Group, handmade quilts, a Tag Sale Room, a Cookie Walk, Farmer’s Market items and homemade bake goods. Crafters and new product vendors will showcase one-of-a kind items for purchase. Breakfast sandwiches and lunch will be sold at the event. We will also be selling our homemade Chicken Pot Pie that is ready to go from our freezer to your oven. Come early for the best selection. This is primarily a cash sale event.

This year, we’re bringing the community together not just to walk, but to gather for a&nbsp;Purple Picnic&nbsp;celebration afterward (Food&nbsp;provided by EFCT).
This family-friendly event is all about connection, support, and showing our strength as a community. Walk alongside individuals and families impacted by epilepsy.
Vendors will be on site sharing resources, services, and information designed to support those living with epilepsy and their caregivers. Whether you’re coming to honor a loved one, meet others who understand your journey, or learn more about epilepsy, we can't wait to see you!
Any teams who fundraise $100 or more, will receive a free sign with their team's name on it!

All items should be in a box that can easily be picked up. Paper items only. No trash or non-paper items. No CDs, X-Rays, etc. On-site shredding truck provided by Affordable Solutions, LLC.

Common Questions: Will the documents be shredded at the drop-off location or are they transported to another facility? All documents will be shredded on-site. Workers will remove documents from vehicles and put them in the truck for shredding. 
Is there a certain way to prepare my documents? Place all paper documents into a box or paper bag for easy removal. Please look through the box/bag, before you bring it for shredding. Make sure the items in the box/bag are what you want shredded.
No Trash.
What happens to the shredded paper? The shredded documents are transported to a recycling facility and baled before being recycled into new paper.
