Rosemary J Rarick (McMahon), 81, of Hamden CT peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, in Hospice Surrounded by her family.

Rosemary was born on August 2, 1944, in Bronxville, NY to the late William and Teresa McMahon.

Rosemary is predeceased by her husband of 62 years Lawrence E. Rarick, Son, Lawrence W. Rarick formerly of Hamden, CT and Sister, Margaret Kovac of Stamford, CT. 

Rosemary is survived by her Daughter Theresa Rarick of Hamden, CT, Son William V. Rarick, his Wife Paola Rarick and Granddaughter Isabella Rarick Sister, Margaret Kovac of, Daughter-In-Law Michelle Rarick, Grandson Lawrence F. Rarick and Granddaughter Avery Rarick of Hamden, CT, Brother William McMahon, of FL, and many cousins, nieces and nephews that she so much loved and adored.

Rosemary attended Grammer School and High School in Port Chester, NY 

Rosemary worked as an Office Manager at a variety of doctors’ offices in Norwalk, CT before her retirement. 

Rosemary loved to spend time with her family and watching Bella on stage as a dancer, singer and actress, Larry pitching from the mound on the baseball diamond or throwing the hoops on the basketball court and Avery’s humor during long conversations that left her in stitches with laughter.

Rosemary loved spending time with family and friends at her cherished condo in Newport, RI for many decades, not only sharing her hospitality, but for her knowledge of the best places to shop and eat. 

Rosemary’s Family and Friends may attend a Memorial Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 731 Main St Branford, CT on Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 AM. There will be a Coffee & Desert Recaption Concluding Mass; please confirm to Theresa or Bill if you are able to attend. Thank you.
