Our volunteers last Saturday did their job of removing invasive mugwort at Hamden Town Center Park so well, that now we have a bare patch to fill with new native pollinator perennials. But we need to act fast. Please join us if you can for a pop-up plant installation at Hamden Town Center Park this Saturday, August 29 from 9-11am. Heavy rain cancels. Please check back here at www.hlct.org if in doubt as to the weather. Wear gloves and sturdy shoes and bring a refillable water bottle. Tools if you have them. We'll provide some tools.
Directions to the site: Pull into the Hamden Middle School (2623 Dixwell Avenue) and follow the road down the hill. Turn left at the “T” and take an immediate left at the sign that says “Event Parking.” Park and meet at the rain garden site on the side nearest the library.
