This is part two of the program on anger management with Hamden resident Dave Wolffe, author of The Second Edition of Peace: The Other Side of Anger. Part one was presented on June 9. Attendance of the June 9 program is not a prerequisite for this event. This interactive workshop is geared towards adults who support adolescents, including parents, educators, counselors, social workers, and youth advocates. You will receive hands-on and situation-oriented tips for helping teens deal with anger and emotional triggers. Drawing from years of experience, Dave Wolffe will demonstrate how to communicate effectively, how to resolve conflict in healthy ways and prevent violence. Anger is a natural human emotion but how teenagers understand and express it can shape their relationships, choices, and future.
By attending this interactive workshop, you will discover tools that encourage emotional awareness, build empathy, and promote peaceful problem-solving across real-life situations at home, in schools, and within peer relationships.
Registration is recommended. This program is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Hamden Library.
Copies of Dave Wolffe's book, the Second Edition of Peace: The Other Side of Anger, will be available for sale for $20 cash at the event.
