Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash sent one of the vehicles crashing into a house in Hamden, according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash sent one of the vehicles crashing into a house Friday in Hamden, according to fire officials.

Firefighters responded around 12 noon on June 21 to the intersection of Circular and Pearl avenues on the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

First-arriving crews reported a two-car crash with heavy damage, with one vehicle into a house, according to officials.

Officials said three ambulances were also called to the scene, along with the Hamden building inspector to assess the damage to the house.

Three people were treated at the scene by Hamden fire personnel and then taken to area hospitals by ambulance, according to officials.

“Due to the damage to the foundation of the house, emergency shoring procedures were conducted to ensure stabilization of the structure before the vehicle was removed from the side of the house by the tow company,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook.
