HAMDEN, CT - Three Cheshire High School juniors shadowed staff from the Department of Public Affairs at Quinnipiac University on Feb. 4. Their visit was part of the Job Shadow Program at Cheshire High School.

The students had the opportunity to watch WFSB-Ch. 3 reporter Matt McFarland interview Laura Willis, professor of health and strategic communication, about how awareness increases when a celebrity is diagnosed with a disease.

Students in the Cheshire program take part in a career exploration activity in which they are introduced to the world of work and provided with context for understanding the relationship and interaction between the academics taught in the classroom and the workplace.
