China Wok Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Hamden

Police are seeking two suspects in the incident which occurred on Duane Road.

Hamden police are seeking two suspects in connection with the armed robbery of a China Wok delivery man that took place Sunday night.

Police responded to the area Circular Avenue and Bradley Avenue at about 6:45 p.m. on the report of an armed robbery, Hamden Police Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.

Smith said that an employee of China Wok, located at 1245 Dixwell Avenue, was making a food delivery to a Duane Road address.

When the 49 year-old employee arrived at the residence, he was met by an individual, described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet, 6-inches tall, who was wearing a brown coat. A second individual, who was described as a male, 5-11 and wearing a mask then pointed a firearm at him and demanded his belongings.

Smith said the two individuals subsequently fled on foot toward Wilbert Street. An undisclosed amount of money and the food order were taken in the robbery.

Hamden police searched the area and conducted a K-9 track, which met with negative results, according to Smith.
