Church Sign Catches Fire After Car Accident in Hamden

A church sign was damaged from a small car fire.

The Saint Joan of Arc church sign was damaged by a small fire from a car accident, according to police.

Officer Lloyd Barrett responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Todd Street at about 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 18.

Upon arrival at the accident scene, Officer Barrett reported that a Hamden Fire Department supervisor advised him that a small fire caused damage to a Saint Joan of Arc sign, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Fire Department personnel determined that the fire was caused by an electrical issue. The fire was quickly extinguished.
