Police will be cracking down on seat-belt violations throughout Thanksgiving week and weekend.

HAMDEN, CT — Police will be cracking down on seat-belt violations during a “Click-It or Ticket” campaign throughout Thanksgiving week and weekend. The theme of this program, which is being held in conjunction with the state Department of Transportation, is “Arrive to Thanksgiving, Safe and Sound.”

The enforcement will be conducted from Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 at various locations, including Mix Avenue, State Street, Washington Avenue and Whitney Avenue, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

“The goal of the Hamden Police Department is to educate the motoring public of the importance of wearing a seat belt,” Smith said in a press release. “It could save your life.”
