Crash Knocks Out Traffic Control Signal In Hamden: Officials
The traffic control signal's cabinet and controller needs to be completely rebuilt, according to officials.
HAMDEN / NORTH HAVEN, CT — A crash knocked out the traffic control signal at the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Buell Street on Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.
The traffic control signal will be out of service for the next one to two days, according to the Hamden Engineering Department.
“The cabinet and controller must be completely rebuilt,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Expect delays at this intersection. We’re running out of spare parts folks! Please slow down and drive with caution as you get out for all this summer like weather! Don’t forget a disabled traffic control signal is to be treated as an all way stop!”
