Credit Union Robbed In Hamden: Police

Police are investigating after a credit union was robbed Wednesday afternoon in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — The Connex Credit Union on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden was robbed on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Police responded to the credit union, located at 2100 Dixwell Avenue, around 12:45 p.m. for the reported robbery.

The suspect entered the credit union and passed a note to the bank teller demanding money, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.

Dolan said no weapons were displayed and no one was injured. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Dolan.

Detectives from the Hamden Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are leading the investigation, Dolan said.

The suspect, pictured, is a woman who is approximately 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 5 inches tall who was wearing a blue hoodie and a surgical mask.

Dolan said detectives are following up on several leads.
