1 Killed In 3-Alarm Fire In Hamden
One person was killed, and several residents were displaced after a three-alarm fire at an apartment building in Hamden on Thursday night.

HAMDEN, CT — One person was killed in a three-alarm fire Thursday night in Hamden, according to officials.
The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. at an apartment building on Kaye Vue Drive in Hamden.
Officials said “all on duty” Hamden fire companies and multiple mutual aid companies responded to the scene.

Hamden Fire Chief Gary Merwede said the fire was under control around 9:30 p.m.
Merwede said one victim was pulled from the fire floor by firefighters, according to a post on Twitter.

NBC Connecticut reported a woman was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she later died.
In an update around 11:30 p.m., Merwede said nine total apartment units will have displaced residents. The total number of people were still being determined by officials.
Merwede said more information will be released on Friday morning.
